The Sundowner’s 4-H Club met on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church. President Haley Clampit called the meeting to order. The pledges and prayer were led by the girl members of the club. Roll call was completed with members calling out their favorite sport when their names were called. The treasurer’s report and minutes from the last meeting were read and approved by the treasurer and secretary. Club Manager Melissa Clampit and Club President Haley Clampit presented a program focusing on completing a 4-H recordbook and the importance of good recordkeeping. Members shared participation in 4-H activities since the last meeting. New business included discussion about upcoming service activities. The club decided on Valentine’s Day cards and Valentine’s Day candy for First Responders andresidents of local nursing homes. Those who celebrate(d) birthdays in January were recognized, and members sang Happy Birthday. The meeting was adjourned, and members ended the evening with a fun trivia game focusing on 4-H recordbooks.
